Passionate about Education, Benefiting Our Hometown - Chairman Zhuo Youxi Donates a Teaching Building for His Hometown
The Xiangshan Primary School held a celebration ceremony for the completion of the Yuanquan and Youxi teaching buildings.
Nanan Xiangshan Primary School is located in Xiangshan Village, Xiangyun Town, a revolutionary old area at the intersection of "San'an" (Nanan, Anxi, and Tong'an). Founded in 1948, the school has a long history as a rural comprehensive primary school, having undergone relocations and continuous improvement. The school has received honors such as "Nanan Green School," "Nanan Safe Campus," "Quanzhou Standardized School for Compulsory Education," and "Nanan Language and Literature Work Standard School." However, due to the aging and deteriorating conditions of the original teaching buildings, there is an urgent need for the construction of new ones.
Mr. Zhuo Youxi, Chairman of Shanghai Rogers Valve Co., Ltd., holds a deep affection for education and his alma mater. He served as the deputy leader of the teaching building construction team, donating funds to support the construction of the new teaching building and promote the school's development.
The new teaching building is named in honor of Mr. Zhuo Yuanquan, an outstanding alumnus of Xiangshan Primary School and the leader of the teaching building construction team, as well as Mr. Zhuo Youxi, another outstanding alumnus and deputy leader of the construction team.
During the ceremony, Xiangshan Primary School presented commemorative plaques to Mr. Zhuo Yuanquan and Mr. Zhuo Youxi in recognition of their special contributions.
Mr. Zhuo Youxi expressed that education is the future of the country and the hope of our hometown. He felt delighted to contribute to the educational cause of his hometown. He wished that this school would become a palace of knowledge and a cradle of wisdom, enabling every child studying here to thrive and achieve their future. Mr. Zhuo hoped that the spirit of "devoting oneself to education and benefiting the hometown" would inspire more people to pay attention to and invest in education, jointly contributing to the development of the hometown's educational cause.
